I’m usually that person that says leave well enough alone, but I think this is awesome! Sandra Bullock has been in talks since October with Warner Bros. to give us an all female reboot on the box office smash, Oceans Eight. They’ve closed in on the expected cast, & by the looks of it, we should be pretty satisfied. Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, & Mindy Kaling will all be joining Sandra on the heist! The film, directed by The Hunger Games director Gary Ross, will continue the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy, which starred George Clooney and Brad Pitt and was directed by Steven Soderbergh. “It’s a pretty similar tone,” Ross told Slashfilm this summer. “You know, Steven Soderbergh and I are incredibly close friends, and we would not have done this if we weren’t. I don’t think he would’ve wanted anyone to do it if we weren’t. This is very much an extension and a continuation.” Filming will begin this October right here in New York, so if you see a bunch of highly attractive women running around the streets stealing stuff- just ignore it!
