Is Twitter a place where celebrity personas go to “die”? In the past few weeks, many Twitter parties have been made citing Kim Kardashian’s takedown of Taylor Swift on behalf of her husband Kanye West, Selena Gomez’s jab at ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, and two parties declaring both Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato “over.” Today, a new one is dominating the social media outlet, targeting Charlie Puth after the “See You Again” singer is being accused of telling a female fan to “die” before blocking her on Twitter. The hashtag “#CharliePuthIsOverParty” began trending instantly after a screengrab of the Tweet surfaced. The incident happened early Wednesday morning. The screenshot shows Puth appearing to have messaged the fan “die” around 3 a.m. There is no proof of a previous exchange of messages, so we’re not sure what triggered Charlie to send such a negative message. Charlie has not commented on the situation.
